Hello, my name is Conchita and the gal behind the lens of Conchita Sophia Photography. I took my first photography class back in 2001 Digital classes were being offered but film was the pre-requisite, ha.  I loved being in the dark room and could usually talk my teacher into letting me print one more picture in exchange for helping clean up all the chemicals… this worked most times. 🙂 Although I took my first class just for fun, I am truly blessed that I have been able to make a career out of being a photographer.  I love my job! Meeting new people, taking photographs in our gorgeous state and creating heirlooms for my clients are a few of the favorite things about being a photographer.

I personally love being able to look at photos of my son on my walls and seeing the change and growth over the years. Here are a few from our most recent portrait session. We both love the outdoors and going to the mountains and hiking so much that doing a session in the mountains was an obvious choice for us. I love traveling so if you have a favorite place you’d love to have your pictures taken, please let me know. Adventure sessions are some of my favorites!

Here are some fun facts about me:

I am a mother to a super funny, charismatic, and very sweet 6-year-old little boy with the most beautiful, biggest brown eyes!

I am trying to teach him Spanish but it’s ending up more like Spanglish.

Spending time with family and friends, BBQ’ing in the summer is one of my favorite past times.

Reading and listening to music on a daily basis is pretty common for me.

I am a hopeless romantic and love watching sappy chick flicks, haha!

I love all things girly… makeup, shoes, jewelry, sparkly things, accessories, the list goes on and on… but I am also most definitely an outdoorsy girl. I absolutely love the mountains and ocean, hiking, camping, spontaneous road trips are a must.

I believe in working hard and never giving up on your dreams.

I am a lover of life and feel pretty lucky to have a job that I love, and a family that is the world to me and supports me. I am SO thankful to God for everything he has given me, blessed me with and the things he didn’t give me that I thought I wanted. Without God’s love and support, I would be nothing. I thank him daily for all he has blessed me with.

Thank you for taking a moment in getting to know me.  I hope I get to meet you someday and create beautiful imagery for you to have for generations to come.  🙂 Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have or if you would like to book a session!

XOXO,

Conchita
